Kingsmill uses the OHIO CERTIFIED STAIN program. 

 

It was designed to ensure stain color consistency throughout the Amish woodworking community in Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.  Several wood finish suppliers and wood working material distributors agreed upon the Ohio Certified Stain criteria meaning that finishes with the same wood species and OCS stain number will be made with the same tint formula.

OCS wood finish stain colors are consistent with the same look when buying a piece of furniture or cabinetry from another vendor, or should you require additional pieces in the future.

Next, we use a top coat finish specifically designed to meet the demands of our bars and other millwork.  Our finish is considered marine grade and rated as "submersible" by our supplier.  This means that even in a commercial setting, our product finishes are designed to take abuse from alcohol spills, commercial cleaning agents, and from car keys, rings, and other items that will come in contact with wood surfaces. 

Please use the following Ohio Certified Stain swatches as a guide. The actual color will vary depending upon the grain and species of wood. Stain colors will vary from the OCS number represented on your computer screen as digital representations of color can vary from device to device.  Actual wood sample swatches will be provided just before we finish your project.
